Yes, we're alive. The snow stopping falling around noon and started melting rather quickly. It's pretty slushy outside and once the temperature drops, I would imagine plenty of ice if the snow plows and salt trucks don't continue through the night. The store was the ONLY business open on the entire street, including Palmer Square, with the exception of some restaurants and coffee places. I was certain we wouldn't see a soul, but I was wrong and there were plenty of customers in and out until I left at 5:30pm. Things probably died after dark, but the store stayed open until the usual 9pm. So glad I didn't have the closing shift today!
The bookstore next door was closed. There was a sign that read: "The store is closed today due to the inclement weather and the town's absurb [sic] parking policy." Sheesh! Where did you learn too spel?
My boss Larry said he heard the terms "snowcalypse" and "snowmageddon" used today by weather reporters. Oka-ay.... which reminded me of something: have you ever thought about what will happen to your beloved pets after the Rapture? Check this site:
