Not one to spare

Everyone's been talking about this snow storm coming. Everywhere you go, you hear snippets of conversations, all relating to this terrible nor'easter. Last night when we went to bed at around 11pm, there hadn't been a single flake falling from the sky. "oooohhhh, a snow storm!" I thought, "I hope I can get to work tomorrow!"

Well, first thing in the morning I looked outside and this is what I saw:

Maybe we should've gotten a shovel from the community shed (I remembered seeing a few on people's dry porches yesterday and chuckled to myself). Then we thought maybe we could borrow one from our community members... and then we feared they might say something like: "No, I'm sorry, I don't have any to spare. Not a shovel to spare."

The good news is, so far, the store has a two hour delay! And my pay isn't affected, so as I'm writing this, I'm still earning money :)
