With the Olympics over and preseason football mediocrity - oops madness - upon us, I wonder if the NFL will adopt any of the lessons learned in London. Will the national anthem be moved to the end of the game, and played as the winning team climbs onto an elevated platform? Will fantasy football player data be organized according to hometown or even ethnicity to mirror the medal count statistics? I am, however, most concerned with the controversy over poor sportsmanship. As you may remember, an Algerian runner was temporarily disqualified from further competition for withdrawing mid-race from the 800 without any injury. An even bigger story came from the badminton courts. The Olympic committee sent eight players home for a performance so abysmal, a deliberate attempt to lose was the only explanation. A team playing so terribly that it defies any rational explanation? I've seen that before. Will the Raiders' season be cancelled?
