Haven't worked a full week yet, and I've already called it sick. I'm thankful to my "employer" that she didn't give me a hard time about it... But yes, I've got the cold bug. I rarely get sick and I attribute my strong immune system to working in a school, but now that I'm out... I get sick! It's really miserable having a cold: so many tissues, that constant tickle in your nose, the difficulty breathing, etc... Thankfully, we're living with a loving and skilled nurse and pharmacist, so I've got all the attention, care and love I need! It started last Thursday and has gotten progressively worse, so I'm praying that this day will be the worst and the healing with begin ASAP.
Wednesday, baby #4 was born and I got to be at the hospital for his precious first moments in this world! Levi James is his name, and we're praising the Lord for a healthy Mommy and baby and a smooth delivery. I was outside the door with Levi's grandma and together we waiting in prayerful anticipation of that newborn cry! It was absolutely amazing and so moving all at once! Katie did a fantastic job and so did her hubby who was cheering right by her side. Grandma and I were teary and relieved that prayers were answered, and then we were allowed to meet him. Now, I have to say that I love babies and I find them all very cute, but Levi was so much more beautiful and adorable and looked just like his Daddy! Red hair and all! I can't wait to get better so I can go back to Katie's and help out!
So, I've been "out of work" since Wednesday because they were all together as a family and didn't need me, which is great since I got a cold anyway, but I found it difficult to fill the days...
I've read two books in two days. I never thought that would happen. My sister is a bookworm and can do that kind of thing, which always left me puzzled. How can you sit and read for so many hours? Don't you get sick of reading? Don't you get tired of sitting? All day--are you sure you can read that long? But now here I am, turning into one. Well, Sarah, are you proud?
