PROM!!

Last night was crazy. Not Matt's favorite night to be in a dorm full of excitable girls. I was inspired to write a poem during the peak of the hyper-ness:

Twas the night before Prom, when all through the dorm

Everyone was stirring, it was quite like the norm;

Girls running up and girls running down

Every last one of them trying on their gown;

When would the squealing end?

When would they ever go to bed?

Teeth whitening and skin clarifying

Leg shaving and red nails drying;

Only one loose end left undone

All we need now is a Rita’s run!

(Rita is a frozen custard place down the road: Sarah surprised everyone by driving everyone there)

Today's weather is super humid (oh no, my hair) and there are thunderstorms looming. Apparently, that happens every year on Prom day, but it ends up clearing up just fine. I hope the 70% chance of rain is very wrong.

I have to admit, I'm nearly as excited as the students. The girls in my class and dying to know what I'll be wearing and what Matt is wearing. They are funny. I'm getting my hair done this afternoon and we have our bus list ready to go. We're not driving the yellow ones, but I'm in charge of one of seven coach buses. I heard there's going to be a Photo Booth!! Can't wait for all of the fun. Pictures tomorrow!
