My birthday morning!

Today is the last day in my 20s. Weird! I think I'm going to plan a big bash next year....

Meanwhile, I've had a good morning. Matt got me orange/pink tulips and I opened up a package from my sister... a percolator!! Can't wait to go camping, especially with this perfect NJ weather.
I'm listening to Rascal Flatt's "My Wish" that my mom sent me... I love that band :)

I'm waiting to see parents. Yes, it's parents' day today: they come to all of our classes and watch you teach. It's nerve wracking that's for sure, but they are often so nice and the parents who come LOVE our school so they're very sweet and gracious. Still though, I want my lesson to be good. Unfortunately, it's also SAT day, so half of my classes are missing... which makes for an awkward vibe and low energy, especially when all the talkers leave and we're left with the quieter ones. Sigh. That's Murphy's Law, right? Between classes, I've got meetings with advisee parents.

But after all of that, there's a big cookout for our headmaster who is retiring. Then, there's a regatta (crew race) all afternoon. I'm so glad it's a beautiful and warm sunny day. This time, I'll make sure to bring my camera and my Agatha Christie novel :)
