Meanwhile, Matt's been trying to get some work done (he has a lot of important deadlines) and I've been attempting some Mexican food and drinks. Not great successes, but not utter failures either. Just ok... which confirms that there's something magical about other culture's foods that simply cannot be replicated. Those mangoes and limes were grown on their soil, ripened at their rate and under their sun. It can't be the same here, even in the Garden State.
I've been catching up with laundry (ugh), emails and blogs... and I think I'm ready for this week but I'm always anxious starting back up again. I wish I were more relaxed about teaching. I tend to think "I must get through XYZ in 8 class periods!! Oh no! How am I going to do it?!?" Instead, I'd like to think "I'll get through XYZ in 7 to 9 class periods, or 10 if special schedules get in the way. Whatever, it'll all work out." The latter is totally a Matthew thought process, and I'm so glad I married him, but I wish he'd rub off on me more (and more quickly!)
The dorm has been nice and quiet. Matt crawled down the stairs so that we could watch "Fiddler on the Roof" on the big TV in the lounge. We've watched half so far, but the girls come back today, so I'm not sure when we'll finish it. I really like that movie and I've seen two school plays of it.

A "man cold!" Oh no....call 999!! Happy Back to School because you are that much closer to summer! (and get well quick!) Love you, Mom
