Even though he's been battling a flu (it's over, finally) and a sinus infection (just got antibiotics), he managed to get our taxes done and finish a couple of deadlines. He's back to writing his dissertation (eagerly so) and thankful that he can focus enough.
Meanwhile, school started back up for me. The whole school is buzzing with energy. The dorm was loud and squealy all day Sunday as girls came back. Sure, kids are tired from having to wake up early and concentrate all day, but they are happy to be back together. Teenage life is so all about friends.
One student (and dorm girl) went to Paris for the first time and she brought me back a box of macarons!!! I just about died with shock and then my heart melted... for me?!?!
They were absolutely gorgeous and even more delicious. I'm keeping the box as a souvenir. I've already given her an A++ for the term.
Tomorrow is the first day of spring and Rita's is offering free Italian Ices! Guess where we're going after school tomorrow? I just hope Matt gets his taste buds back in time...

Those macarons look wonderful! They are a bit high in a bakery, over 3 euros each!! Lucky you! So glad Matt is over his yuck and able to tackle the paperwork. Happy Spring to you both! Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteYou two are amazing. We're praying for this final leg of the school year before we see you in June. We are so proud of you.
