I got to class with enough time to copy a few things... and the copier was broken... so I ran to another one in the building.
My first period class was dead and mute and I hate it when that happens first period.
Department meeting during my free block.
Department chair asked me to do 3 extra things--only got 2 of them done....
I had my 3 other classes today.
Active shooter drill cut 15 minutes from my AP class.
School ended at 3:00.
At 3:10 I speed walked home, changed and drove to where the busses are kept.
At 3:30 I was driving the crew team to the boat house.
I jogged while the rowed.
I drove everyone back to campus and arrived at 6:10.
I had a long student senate meeting at 6:15 (dinner included, hallelujah!).
I rushed back to the dorm at 8:15 because a student texted me (makeup quiz)
At the dorm, another student was waiting for extra help.
[At this point, I'm stinky from jogging and I haven't seen Matthew all day. I left my water bottle in my class, so I'm tired and thirsty and all I want to do is scream: GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE! I JUST NEED 20 MINUTES TO GET MY ACT TOGETHER!!!!!]
At 8:30 our dorm had a fire drill (slipped my mind... how??)
And I'm here on dorm duty until 11:30 pm.
Just a typical Tuesday.
So crazy to think your crazy-busy school days don't end with the school bell! You poor thing!!! Totally deserving of that song ;)

ReplyDeleteYou're amazing, Shao-Shen. I remember well that most of my 1st Period classes were errily quiet too! Not very motivating for a teacher.
