Touch a truck

All kids like big machines, and boys especially love the sound of sirens and engines. Yesterday, there was our town's annual "touch a truck" day with free hot dogs, chips, soda and ice cream. We went with our French friends and we raced after the boys. Even though Kent has a fascination with trucks and tractors, and he will pause anything he's doing to look at one driving by, he was just super happy with the big open space and running free. I don't blame him since our week of rain and 40 degree weather is behind us.

There were fuel trucks, excavators, ambulances, tractors, police cars, the harbormaster, some lawn mowers, and free hard hats. Kent practiced taking it off.
Here he is, running around with his 'big brother', who just turned 4. They make each other laugh so much.
Finally! He wanted to see inside an ambulance.
Well, he actually just wanted to go up the stairs, run through, then go down the stairs.
We tried to get a picture of all three boys - BFFs.
 Hold him still, we shouted!
 Finally!
This ramp was the coolest thing for Kent. Sigh.
 Non stop.

And then he pushed some buttons and beeped the horn, but he was too shy to say anything into the loudspeaker.
What a fun event. I'm sure he'll enjoy it even more next year.
