Little heartbreaker

It's so nice living on a campus. Not only do we feel safe, but there's plenty of outdoor and indoor space available to us, depending on the weather or our mood. When Kent was just a crawler, I'd bring him to the gym or the fine arts building and he'd crawl around and go up steps and enjoy exploring on his own. As a walker, exploring is even more fun! In the afternoons, there are always practices to watch or games to cheer for. Kent can't say our mascot's name yet, but he can clap!

There's also lots of people on campus, and boy does he LOVE being the center of attention. The dorm boys have enjoyed him more and more now that he babbles and says a few words, runs around and plays with them. He melts every girl's heart when he high fives or fist bumps them. This scene is quite common:
And just today at the grocery store, he waved bye-bye at the woman who bagged our food and he kept waving and waving (she was waving back!) as I pushed the cart out of the automatic doors. Kent was leaning to one side to keep her in view and continued waving - a HUGE grin on his face. Once we were outside, I glanced behind me and the woman was still waving. I felt bad breaking up this romantic moment, and I know it's not going to be the last time.
