My brave boy

Kent was super brave today at the doctor's office for his check up and shots. Sure, he cried so hard that he turned purple before he could draw another breath, but when it was over he was calm again and he didn't bite the doctor. Luckily, it was really quick. I think Kent and I will snuggle the rest of the day until we pick up Daddy. Can't wait to have him home again!!

Here are Kent's new stats: (our last appointment was 3 weeks ago)
10 lbs 12 oz!!!! (from 9 lbs 8 oz)
23.25 inches (from 22.75)

He's still in the 25th percentile for weight and between 50-75th percentile for height.

Last night was rough: he woke up at 1:15 am (!!) and then at 5 am. I was on duty, so I had only been sleeping barely two hours before that first feeding. Sigh. Ordinarily, he wakes up around 4 am (a couple times it was 5!!) and then 3 hours after that. Eventually, when I start work again, I need him up at 6 or 6:30 so that I can get to my class by 7:30. I'm thinking of starting a dream feed: feeding him when I go to bed (around 10 or 10:30) without waking him up. Maybe that will hold him longer so he doesn't need the 4 am early breakfast.

  3. Way to go for putting on all that weight!! And shots are so hard :( Cuddling deserved. So sorry about your lack of sleep, I FEEL YOUR PAIN! I used to be anti-dream feed but it worked so well for Henry, so I say anything is worth trying ;)
