Aaahhh, the life of a grad student

Yesterday, we went on a family outing to the Princeton-Harvard basketball game. The university put on an event for grad students: free tickets, free pizza and a talk from the assistant coach about strategies. Because of my dorm responsibilities, we got there late and missed meeting the assistant coach (boo!), but at least there were two slices of pizza left (yay?). We refused to buy a $7 hot dog and $3 candy bar, but at least Kent was happily full. We saw a few of our friends with their kids.

The halftime show was amazing. It was a group of young girls and their jump ropes. The crowd went wild. Then the university cheerleaders came out next, but no one paid any attention to them.

Luckily, we had just the right outfit for Kent's first college basketball game.
This security guard just had to block the view of the court.
We ended up sitting with the old folks because those chairs had backs. It was a better view anyway.
Here, I'm trying to teach Kent how to clap, but he prefers the closed fist for fist pumps!
It was a close game and a tough loss.

But in OTHER NEWS.... Kent went to sleep at 9 pm and woke up at 6 am AGAIN!!! I wish I could click "rinse and repeat" on this behavior :)
