And I respect his decision to step back from this issue. It may be better for our marriage.
What color should we paint our new apartment?
Let's start with the living room. If you've been to our current place, imagine the same size, but a square. The general color scheme will be black, cream, tan, red, green. The floor will be hardwood.
Our futon will become our couch.
I want to find two small parsons chairs to face the couch. Colors could be green
or red (I'm leaning towards red, but not sure if I can find it).
The windows have this style (and I'd like to white/cream trim to stand out against the painted wall). I will make curtains for the windows, possibly cream, red, or green--it all depends on the wall color.
This will be our area rug, but cleaner:
We have 6 bookshelves, all dark wood, all mismatched. (will they fit? who knows). We'll have our black milk cans there too.
So, since the school will give me color swatches to choose from, which color should I ask for the living room? Sage green? Tan/Sand? I'm secretly afraid that tan/sand will be too bland with the rest of the furniture. What do you think?? Could it look something like this?
Would red curtains look ridiculous? Should I go for cream instead? I'm hoping I can find red chairs and maybe make red pillows to bring that out from the carpet.
PS: all of the yellow/blue country French theme will go in the kitchen. I think yellow will be nice since it's already such a small space, but blue would be so pretty. For the bedroom, I'm thinking sand.

ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, it will be in good taste. That's you! XOXO dad
ReplyDeleteGo for the sage green walls. Go with cream curtains. Let there just be touches of red (like in pillows or chairs). It'll be awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, Dad figured out what I was doing wrong so I'm back!!! Looks like Sarah and I had the same opinions! Love you!
