My husband is the best. Too often I go about my day taking him and all that he is and does for granted. Here is a simple list that comes to mind immediately:

-He never complains when the house is cluttered or I get a late start on dinner or laundry.

-When I've gotten lazy or 'too busy' he'll always do dishes when asked (and often volunteers).

-He is so hardworking and I don't recognize it enough because I'm so focused on 'me, me, me, pay attention to ME!'

-He saves us money more than I do.

-He puts up with me and shows me infinite grace and patience when I let the little things go, like food going bad in the fridge, a bill paid late, a letter not written, a follow up not made, important papers misplaced, objects lost, library books overdue, etc...

-He is capable in the kitchen and always makes the pizza and has even made desserts.

-He makes my lunch whenever I run around in the morning squealing "oh my gosh! I'm so late!" which is becoming more and more frequent.

-He comforts me when I get insecure about myself or the future or some circumstance.

-He's been taking on more and more of MY chores around the house, not because we've divided it that way, but because I complain of being too tired and too sore from work. And he works on those chores with everything he's got.

-He lets me pursue this new gardening hobby.

-He is the ultimate bug killer.

-He helps me with my professional development as a teacher by supplying me with information he's learning in his methods class (because I slept through my own in college).

-He does our taxes every year without complaining and without reward (shame on me).

-He writes me 'get well soon' cards when I'm sick.

He's just the best and I love him for it. I also love his parents for raising him right. :)
