Popularity has its cons, too

Ever since our tree fell in the backyard, it has attracted a lot of attention. Police officers and Public Safety officers have stopped by and taken pictures, and Butler residents walking by will point and stare.

The fallen tree has also become very, very popular among the wild critters and birds--particularly the loud, repetitive chirping kind. That's right folks, our tree has become the newest number one hot spot. They start partying at the crack of dawn, really, at the very very beginning of the day, and continue until night fall. And since the tree is no longer upright, the sounds of the wild are just that much closer to our bedroom windows. Here's proof.

In other news, our rose bush is ALIVE!! We've had incredible sun and warm temperatures, and now spring showers. Apparently, that's just what the bush needed. Here are the new sprouts we recently found. Grow baby grow!
