Anywho. We had a great time over Christmas and since then we've just been working a lot. Me at the store and Matt on his term papers. He's trying to get them done quickly and efficiently so that he can enjoy some of his vacation time. There's nothing like drawing out papers every.single.day and allowing them to loom over your head during your break. He's completed 2 of 3 and the last is a slam dunk.
Not much has happened at the store except for one weird incident. I was minding my own business, taking a count for all the hats, scarves and gloves that I needed to fill in when this African American middle-aged woman comes up to me. As she's walking over, I automatically think she's going to ask me a question. And she does, except not the kind of question I was prepared for:
Crazy lady: "Do I make you feel uncomfortable?"
Me (eyes wide, shocked, shaking my head and trying to figure out if I heard her correctly): "uh, uh, what? uh, what do you mean?"
Crazy lady: "Do I make you feel uncomfortable?"
Me (still wondering what I've done to this lady to deserve such a loaded question): "No! I don't understand! I mean, of course not! What do you mean?"
Crazy lady: "Just checking." and walks off.
I was offended the rest of the day, replaying that conversation in my head and coming up with some very interesting comebacks that I dare not write. Weird.
In other news, my two very good friends from college came here for a day's visit!! It was awesome.

I'll write more about New Year's later...
