Well, I just couldn't wait any longer. I put up the Christmas tree before December 1st and I don't even regret it. I would post pictures, but the battery isn't charged... so they'll come later. Our place is totally decked out, including the front "porch" or steps. We even have Christmas candy, and the Candyman has (surprisingly) exercised some self control (you should know Fred/Pat that the jelly beans are gone though).
Last night we had Franz and Katrina over for dinner and I made corn/red pepper and spinach enchiladas. She brought over dessert: vanilla pudding over homemade apple sauce. It was a lot of fun.
Today is my day off. I got to sleep in and put on regular clothes! Yah! Katrina and I are going Christmas shopping this afternoon, but in the meantime, the dirty dishes and overflowing laundry are staring me in the face (and in the nose) but all I can think about doing is making cookies and knitting... Some days I'm really really eager to do chores, and other days I try to figure out how I can avoid them, calculating how long we can last on that last pair of underwear, or that last plate. I wonder how today will turn out...

Evil laughter!!! You have succommed!!!! Soon you will be asking for Christmas lists in Janurary!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo!!! NEVER CORRIE!! However, I'm 97% done with the shopping and I'm eyeballing my fun wrapping paper, only wishing my day off could come sooner so I can wrap-wrap-wrap! The cool thing about working retail is that you have access to all these boxes, little and big; that way the shape & size won't give away the gifts! Mouahahahha!!
