So there I was, cranky for no good reason, folding clothes at work. Nothing seems to lift my mood, not even making what was messy, beautiful again. Not even the quirkiness of my co-workers or looking forward to the end of the work day. And, surprisingly, not even a customer's compliment who told me that I was very nice and a pleasant employee to work with (which totally caught me off guard because I thought I had a grumpy face all day).
Until, believe it or not, Beth Lewis walks into the store (with her whole family)!!! She's a former friend and classmate from high school in Germany!!! UNREAL!! It had been 7 years. It was all a blur and I simply couldn't believe my eyes. I think we must have hugged, and I said I thought I would have a headache later because this was so mind-blowing and so completely awesome!! We chatted and caught up for a while and I met her fiance. I wished time would stop or that I could leave work or that she was staying in town longer, but I was powerless to all of those details. All we could do was hug and wish each other well and catch up some more later through emails.
I was all smiles the rest of the day, and I prayed for her and her hubby and their upcoming wedding. It turned out to be the coolest day afterall. Thanks God!

Was that Monday that happened? Because I was feeling down that day (rainy days and Mondays always get me down) and God cheered me up with homemade apple tarte from my landlady and a bouquet of flowers sent by some German friends! God is Good to care about the little things!!! Mom
