All senses in action

In my spare time (aka Kent's nap time), I clean up as fast as I can, then I make food (sooo much easier when Kent's not using my legs for balance as he pulls up to standing), and if there's time left, I get to one of several crafts. You know me well enough that I always have to have a project up my sleeve. All of my ideas come from Pinterest. What would I do without Pinterest? Think for myself? Too hard.

Here are some of the things I'm working on:
-knitting a scarf and hat for Kent
-sensory jars (don't worry - they have all been hot glue gunned closed)
-a light box
-a pull + tug toy
-a rainbow waterfall for him to crawl under and/or pull down
-making a sensory walkway so that he could feel different textures.
When I said "Kent, come here!" he did. He used his better senses to bypass the sensory experience.
Still on my list is: taste safe playdoh using leftover rice cereal.

Here's what was NOT planned: Matt's exercise mat was left out in the living room and Kent thought the squishy feeling was SUPER FUN. We lost count how many laps he did.
Speaking of exercise, he just wants to be like Papa.
That was right before bed, so he wasn't all that energetic. Instead, he prefers to play with our chairs. Luckily, we don't have any downstairs neighbors....
Full of curiosity and energy this little one!!
