We had a very, very bad night last night (9:45, 1:30 and 4:30 wakings), so we need these giggles more than ever. I tried the timed crying thing, but it just didn't work. He cried from 4:30 on. By 5:45, I just held him in my arms to sleep because I was just exhausted. We finally started our day at 6:30. I'm willing to try the timed crying method again, but it's terribly exhausting because you're awake! I'm also trying to figure out if he's actually hungry or not (I nursed him at the first 2 wakings) because now that we're doing formula, we'd been giving him 4 oz, but now we're increasing it to 5 oz. Books say the average for his age is 6 to 8 oz every 4 hours. He's been eating every 3 hours, so we're slowing increasing the amount and trying to hold him off by 15 minute increments so we get closer to the 4 hour mark. Why do babies have to eat again?

Gots the giggles
Kent is full of giggles these days and it's the BEST.
Now doesn't that brighten your Monday?

Those giggles made my day! Sorry he is waking so much. Hopefully, the formula will eventually get him to sleep longer periods. It certainly helps that Kent is so adorable!! Hugs and tickles from Nana
ReplyDeleteI feel for you! I was just telling Max yesterday that my life would be so much easier (even now!) if the children just didn't need to eat. At all. I'll be praying that he can have better nights soon and feel fuller for longer. AND THAT VIDEO!! I was smiling ear to ear the whole time :). I love how he was so surprised every time the toy touched his tummy!!!!
