Actually, the camp counselors acting as a yelling alarm clock woke up the 25 boys and us at the same time, but I buried my head in the pillows. When Matt came back in at 6:45 he said "Now I know what you feel like when you go to work and see me half asleep and pathetic in bed."
Today is his first day of class. He's been preparing all weekend and he has a great lesson, more material than he could possibly need. I don't know how he does it: he's teaching other grad students (with little or NO French background) how to read and translate French. For 2.5 hours a day. That's a loooonnnngg time. I don't think I could do it. It's not like you can break up those 150 minutes with a little bit of reading, then some writing, then get with a partner and create a dialogue, then do this grammar sheet, etc. Let's hope he comes home with all of his hair.
Let's also hope he will go back to work tomorrow.
