I have a problem, I know. I just can't stop knitting. Actually, this week has been one of the busiest and it's only going to get crazier. Today, I can finally breathe this evening instead of work til bedtime. But starting this weekend, it's going to get nuts again until.... Chris and Corrie come and I have a day off!! Whoo Hoo!! We're so excited to have visitors. It's so good to have their visit to look forward to, kind of like a reward at the end of a tough tough road. Proof? I thought Monday was tuesday, and Wednesday was Friday--that's how much I've been thinking of what I have to do (all school, and advisee related). Ha! I'm not even thinking about chores or food or laundry...
I started this project back around Christmas and New Year's. I picked out some super awesome and soft yarn in a new color for me: rust. I love it.
The yarn immediately got all tangled up, so before I could actually knit, I had to deal with a giant mess that took a good 45 minutes to fix. I made a cowl (infinity scarf) which can be worn two ways. It looks pink in the picture, but it's really rust.
It's SO SOFT. I love it.
Next, I made matching mittens. My first pair! They weren't as bad as I thought. I see more in my future...
I have my sister's baby blanket in my project "queue" and after that I'm thinking I'll work on a cotton summer shrug for over-a-possibly-homemade-sundress? We'll see!

The cowl and mittens look fabulous!! Love the color ;) When will you open your own etsy shop? :)
