Thanksgiving was spent with Rebekah's side of the family down in Texas, my first time. It was great to just hang together, even if there was a lot of solitary techy time, with laptops, phones, Kindles, etc... Then there's me, the non-techy one who was knitting away and reading paper books. Hey now, I'm not saying I'm better than you. I'm just saying that I don't have as many hobbies that involve the internet. Although, my sister got me into Pinterest and that was fun for a few weeks, but I haven't touched it since. See what I mean?
One day, we went to the Stockyards to see some real Texans and some long horn cattle. It was fun and it made me want to own cowboy boots and a hat! Instead, I drank a Dr. Pepper with real sugar, and bought a bunch of edible presents for Matthew (because he stayed in NJ).
We also played Apples to Apples, and as usual, no one could figure me out. I'd like to think I'm intriguing, but I'm probably just inconsistent.
For Christmas, we were with Matt's side of the family for a week. Again, plenty of relaxing and catching up, and playtime with the kids. Matt grew a beard, which he then shaved to look like a hipster. Elizabeth did not like it, and she said so.
Look how much Emily has grown up! She loves balls. In the back, you can see Corrie with baby #4, and in the far back, you get a peek of little Caleb at 4 months.
It was hard to get the kids to open all of their gifts, because they just wanted to tear right in and play with the first one. They'll catch on eventually. Matt and his brother went to Buffalo to see the Bills play the Broncos. It was a good brother bonding time, but it was a painful game to witness. We shall no longer speak of it.
It was so SO cold that day.
Tebow in action. Nice zoom.
One night, Matt and Kara and Caleb had us over for cheese fondue. YUM! Caleb didn't want to miss out on the action. He is so curious and observant over everything.
I guess we tired him out.
He is such a good looking boy. Look at those eyes!
Thanks, buddy, for making me look super tan in December. I owe you one.

You look good holding that baby! Just sayin'.... :)
ReplyDeleteOops! Sorry about the cold. I guess we're still working on the "Cover Your Mouth!!!" and "Wash Your Hands!"
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time regardless.
