Good Reads

I feel like there hasn't been much to blog about lately, so I haven't. Several times this week, I thought I should write something, but since nothing interesting came to mind, I thought I'd spare you ramblings upon ramblings, about nothing (Seinfeld).

I've read some great books lately.
Left to Tell, by Immaculee Ilibagiza

This is the story of a woman who finds God and learns the tough lesson of forgiveness during the Rwandan genocide. It's very moving, and at times, very difficult to read (she's quite graphic). But it's a must.

The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren

Many of you know and probably have read this book. I love it. It's changing my view of life and I try to memorize the verses while I fold. It's not easy.

Sacred Marriage, by Gary Thomas

Another great marriage book: the author challenges us to view marriage as God making us more holy, not more happy. The first week of married life, I remember getting this book from our church friends in Grand Rapids, MI, and it has lived, untouched, on our shelf. I wish I had picked it up sooner. To all of you married couples, give it a try: I don't think you'll be disappointed.
