Don't do big trips when you're sick.

Kent got another cold last Wednesday - surprise, surprise! It doesn't seem to be as bad as the last one, but it's still messing with his naps and night sleeping. Matt and I got it soon after he did. I'm doing a bit better but Matt is not. Please pray for him as colds always = sinus infections. We've been going to bed around 8:30 or 9 pm to try to catch up on the zzzz. Last night was a miracle however: Kent slept from 7 to 6 and when I woke up around 2 or 3 am, I groggily worried that he had died because he was too quiet - that's what waking up 4-5 times a night will do to your head cold brain!!! Holy cow.

His appetite might not be where it normally is (see leftovers on the table in the video below), but he is still happy to play. He's wearing some fleece pants I made him (on the left is a diaper cover):
Once Kent turns the corner to the living room, he stops and looks intensely at something. You may not know what he's looking at, but I can read his mind. He's wondering who put that light box there! Check out what he was truly looking for:
Kent will find any hole and put his finger in it. Ears included. You have been warned.
We had a bad case of cabin fever and we needed to get off campus and out of the house by this weekend. It was a beautiful day on Saturday, and on a whim, we decided to go to Boston. Looking back, it was a terrible idea because we were all sick and tackling such a big city only exhausted us further. The fresh air and cannolis were worth it, if anything. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are a few:

Kent wants to stay every chance he gets.
Little Italy - no picture of the cannolis due to eating them too fast...
 Paul Revere's house:

It was really nice to get away from campus for an afternoon and spend some time together as a family. Coming up: family time + Nana and Papi! Can't wait. Off you go, cold!

  3. Love those pants and diaper cover! So impressed you still do crafts that involve sewing :). He was seriously rocking those pants (also love that hoodie). Glad you got to see a bit of Boston, even though you were all sick!
