These days, they are having a liquidation sale. Yay!
Check out my finds!
This glider (and foot rest) has every element I could have possibly asked for: everything can be unsnapped and thrown into the wash, it's navy blue (nursery colors), it has side pockets, it's in great shape, and it was $30. How can you go wrong?
I've had "when/if I become a mom" ideals for a long time. One of them was to have a whole bunch of books with a good moral message. The day care center had hundreds, and I didn't want to look through them all, so I asked. "Sure, in a box right behind you there's a whole set!". Oh my gosh. These are in PERFECT shape. They are from the good ol' days, the 80s. And 29 books were a whopping $5.What I couldn't resist was "fill a bag for $5". So I filled it (until it ripped but she didn't see that). I don't know why these pictures are in every which way... sorry about that! I applied everything I had learned and seen from my sisters-in-law's houses and came away with:
Indestructible books and quiet cloth books.
Books with baby faces, nursery rhymes (because I know so few!) and other "activity" books to do with infants.
And these were just too cute to pass up.
Touch/Feel books.... because even adults love these! And some pop up books in perfect condition (library ones are always destroyed--these will be too, eventually, but I won't feel as awful).
I am SO excited about these finds. I can't wait to put the nursery together. Just last night, my colleague and friend gave us two framed pictures of original art because she had heard me say how much I loved her art in her home (above mine). Thanks Courtney!
Thank you God for providing for our needs!!

That glider is going to be your best friend! I always wished I'd had one :). And those books..... wow! Those awesome deals just made my teacher-heart skip a beat!
