Three more essays

I love my AP class, but it's so big compared to last year. I have 10 wonderful and high achieving students, who could probably take the test next week and be fine. In the meantime, we'll keep discussing topics and debating controversial topics.

Today was an in-class essay about nuclear energy: should we or shouldn't we? I have to read them several times, first to correct their language, then to analyze their arguments and overall structure, then to give them a grade. Just a few more to go.

THEN it's Saturday.

THEN it's FUN TIME. It's been such a physically taxing week from the fire alarms (and the whole school is sick with a bad cold), but we still have plans to go to NYC for "The Taste of France" event happening in upper Manhattan. I'm SO excited. Many of the events are free, so we'll check those out. Since we have college friends living in the city, it's a win-win because we'll crash their apartment and catch up. Last time we visited was late spring.

So I'm extra motivated to get work done tonight ready for Saturday and Monday's classes so that I can be carefree in the city that never sleeps (by choice, not by alarm!).
