Today while looking over the ballot for today's New Jersey primary, a name caught my eye: David-Douglas Brown. David is running for a U.S. Senate seat and he intends, in his own words, to vaporize taxes among other things. Of course, although David is the only one to have this goal printed directly next to his name on the ballot, the other Republican candidates also want to wage a similar war on government overreach. So what distinguishes David? He doesn't talk a lot about issues on his website, but we do learn that he invented the NJIT hall of fame. I'm not sure what that is, but it sounds like a great idea. He has also refined the skill of referring to himself in the third person. On the campaign trail, the normally mild-mannered David transforms into the "Brown Bear," with all the good and bad that comes with it. See for example the following tweets posted on his website; normally lovable and cuddly, his temper rages when he reads the paper (tweet 9).
Tweet 7: The Bear is Roaring Mad about our High Taxes!!
Tweet 8: Bear fixes young kids bike with wrench and puts air in tires
Tweet 9: Bear reads Newspaper and is Fuming
Tweet 10: Bear Donates to Central Jersey Cheerleaders Fundraiser at Dunkin Donuts
Tweet 11: Bear is eating a Dunkin Blueberry Muffin
Tweet 12: Bear is gulping a coffee
Good luck Bear!
