Yes, it was busy and tiring (especially since this was Reb's first move while working full time) and yes, it was chaotic to unpack and figure out how so much stuff could fit into so little a space. And yes, some things were still left in boxes and stored in closets. The funny thing is that I suddenly have "too many" clothes, when before, as a teacher, I never had enough. I love my uniform. It makes my life much simpler.
A special thanks to all of Matt's family who helped in the moving process. You guys are awesome!! We appreciate you taking time off of work, driving, lifting, helping, and cleaning. We especially loved visiting with you in our new environment. The door's still open for anyone else who wants to come! :)
We finally got settled, and I put up some decorations (minus one project for later). Here are pictures!

In case you forgot what I looked like. In my uniform. And oh yeah, I got a perm in August.

Here's me taking your money at the store :)

Needless to say, we are SO thankful to the Lord for this apartment. It was hard at first to accept its size and layout (and price tag), but after a much needed attitude adjustment, I've come to love our little cozy home. It's a perfect distance to the school and to my store. Plus, we have French neighbors! Who would've thought?

Great hair!! Fantastic apartment.... love what you've done with it already :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa! French neighbors! Thanks for sharing the pics...it really helps me to picture you there! It looks homey and sweet, snug as a bug in a rug! You are a master organizer!!! Love you, Mom
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures of the wonderful little home you've created. I also enjoyed seeing your work uniform (not a real presence of the orange as we had feared). Your mom-in-law
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe you've already got everything set! You're amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting.
Miss you.
