It takes a village

Written by Corrie (sister-in-law)

On Wednesday, Matthew and Rebekah headed back home from spending a few days at our house. The original plan was for them to help at our church's VBS, but that didn't work out. Our gain.

We all loved having them stay with us. This picture of the two lawn chairs says so much to me about their time here. Matthew took the big white chair out to sit and study in the cool under the tree. Elizabeth (age 2) followed with her little chair.

There were many moments like that...bonding I guess. Watching Matthew sitting amused as Elizabeth streaked around the lawn splashing in the puddles. Andrew (8-1/2 months) taking his first assisted steps to Matthew. Elizabeth diving through the pile of unfolded clothes Rebekah was conquering. Pushing the kids in strollers with Rebekah all through downtown Warsaw. Staying up late chatting. Folding and sorting huge amounts of baby clothing. (One pair of baby pants actually had a big tag on the leg that said, "Butte Gas.") Watching American Graffiti, a classic. Basically enjoying their company.

We had a great time and we wish New Jersey wasn't so far away.
