Up-i-down

We've been spending as much time outside as possible knowing the cold is coming. Fall wouldn't be so bad, but living so close to the water means that the breeze is strong and can really cut through all of your layers. So when there is little wind, even with temperatures in the low 60s, it can feel warm in the sunshine.

The other day, I took Kent to the playground and he wanted to swing on the big swings. There are a number of newer ones that are higher off the ground. These two haven't been replaced so they are low: a perfect height for Kent. I hardly had to teach him how to swing and then he surprised me by leaning back and saying "up-i-down!"

It was a miracle that I had my camera with me, so he did it again. He didn't say it in the video, but it definitely sounded like "up-i-down!"

  1. What a smarty pants! And good job, Kent, on figuring out how to sit! Can't wait for the park at the beach!
