It POURED on Memorial Day. What a bummer for families everywhere in our area AND the graduates and their families. The ceremony had to be moved to the gym. Meanwhile, Kent and Papa played outside while I got some work done.
There's a sump pump out there and Kent (in the rain) just squatted and gleefully put his hand under the running water. Matt was certain he would stay out there the whole day.
Then they found some puddles. Let the splashing begin!
Matt splashes Kent.
Kent attempts to splash Papa, but only manages to get himself.
Happy anyway.
Running away!
These are the sounds I was hearing from the kitchen:
The next day, the maintenance crew granted my request for a drainage solution to the ever-wet, ever-muddy part of our yard. They lifted the topsoil then spread rocks down.
Kent kept waving at the guys and saying "rock!"
Studying their tools and techniques.
Finished! And they even dumped some sand for under the playhouse. Thanks guys!!
The finished product: stumps, playhouse, sand, gravel, ramp and deck with umbrella.
Come on over! We're ready to play with you!

I wanna come play!! How sweet to see the puddle splashing! The cuteness is killing me! BIG Hugs from Nana
