Not this time. With a taller and walking child, everything's different. And better. He was so much more enthusiastic about discovering this space and he especially loved the water tables: he stood with a measuring cup under running water and it was Kent Heaven. He also enjoyed taking out all of the balls from the water tanks. Needless to say, he got soaked (good thing I packed an extra outfit) and he threw a fit when it was time to leave to pick up the teenagers. I'm not sure how long he could've stayed there. Maybe 17 hours more?
On the drive home it started snowing. We could tell it was finally going to stick and accumulate.
The next morning there were several inches and the sunrise was gorgeous.
It took a surprising amount of time to get this guy fitted into his snowsuit (thanks Kara!). He was like, what is this poofy think around me??
But then he smiled for me.
Outside, I wanted him touch the snow with his bare hands, but he wasn't into that. We eventually put his mittens back on.
It didn't take long for his gloves and socks to soak through.
So we had to go back inside. This is how Kent felt about it:
After nap time, the sun came out and we headed out there again. Kent wanted to stomp all over it.

Wish we were there right now to play in the snow with you!! Looks like Kent is really enjoying it. He seems fascinated by it all. Love his marshmallow pouf snow suit!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Wonderful! Kent was cold but he melted my heart!!! How about that. Two grandsons shoveling sand and one shoveling snow! It's all good! He is walking so well. He'll be running when I see him next!~ Hugs, Nana
