Am I actually sitting down to blog?? Finally, yes! Kent is a
totally different kid now that he's 8 months old.
Let's have a quick recap:
From 6 to 7 months, there was much prepping, packing and
very few pictures from my camera. It took a lot of effort to finish up the
year, pack the house, say goodbyes and spend time with my parents who stayed
with us a nice 10 days. 99% of the interesting pictures are in my Dad's
possession. Fatigue pretty much sums up June, but we had fun with family too! A
special shout out to my parents and father-in-law who did amazing work packing
up the container and cleaning when it was crunch time.
Matt and I went to our friends' wedding while my parents
looked after Kent.
Then, on his 7 month birthday, we drove to western NY to my
in-laws for the summer. The drive was long, but he did alright. We've done so
much with the family, aside from the every day routine of playing at home with
toys and cousins, going on walks, taking naps and eating together. Let's see,
Kent celebrated Emily's birthday,
he went to his first zoo - okay, he might have slept 3/4 of the time, but it counts!
he tried out a swing for the first time,
he met great-grandparents and Aunt Val and Uncle Ben and
cousin Bo,
he went blueberry picking,
he experienced bubbles,
he tried several new veggies and fruits,
he went to the Erie Lake beach,
he splashed at a water park,
he went to Michigan through Canada to spend a week with these wonderful people!!
he got lots of kisses from his cousins,
he started sleeping on his belly without waking up and
crying about it, and even started sleeping with his butt in the air,
he has lots to say - ga ga, da da, etc...
he is working on his music skills,
he has finally started army crawling with a knee crawl
every once and a while!
Our little man is growing up so fast, impressing us every day. We just love him and we're SO thankful for the opportunity to be with ALL of our family members this summer.

Thanks so much for catching me up! Kent has grown and changed so so much!! I LOVE the expression on his face when in the swing and it made me chuckle to see him sleep through the lama peeking in the window! He is every kind of adorable and I can't wait to show these to Minnie on Sunday! Hugs from Nana
