Kent's first hike

On Sunday, we took a hike in the Pine Barrens with some friends. It was a warm day, upper 70s with a perfect breeze to keep us cool and lots of shade on the path. We got to use our Kelty carrier, and Kent was such a trooper through the many hours of hiking. He didn't cry until we got back to the car and only because he was tired of sitting.
 Happy boy!
 Look what a beaver did!
 Marsh land - cranberry bogs
 Lily pads and frogs.
 Beautiful views!
 A turtle!
Nap time - just 30 minutes later than normal. Eventually, we put a few cloth diapers under his chin to soften the bouncing.
We made it to the end of the trail!
Not pictured: the dozens of tics we had to brush off of ourselves!!! We were super paranoid about them + Kent, so we did tic checks again and again. Kent giggled hysterically at the word "tic check"!!
It was a lovely afternoon, and the next two days, Kent's naps were amazingly long :)

Speaking of sleep, Kent's been waking up crying because he ends up on his tummy and he doesn't like it. It's happened three times in the last two days. I don't know why he can't roll himself over onto his back again, but he gets stuck and upset. Hopefully he'll figure it out soon. In the meantime, it's a little funny, except at 5 am.
