Bedtime reading!

Our bedtime routine has changed since the summer, mainly because I was tired of reading the same bedtime books and also because Kent was changing. What we do these days is go over our day's events and talk about what we did and who we saw and anything else that was special. He's pretty good about remember things in order and we sit there and rock and wind down.

Well tonight he wanted a book. We haven't read a book before bed in months and months so I gladly accepted his request and he chose Curious George's Opposites. I read in twice and then he said "Kent read it!" so I let him and HE TOTALLY READ IT BY HIMSELF!!!

So I ran down to get the camera and told him to read it again so I could show Papy and Nana. For reference, the book reads:
George climbs up, then jumps down.
George rides forward and backward too!
George is dry. Splash! Now he is wet!
What's in the pen, George? It's pigs! George lets them out.
The box is closed. Look! The box is open.
George is awake. Shhh George is asleep.
Here's how he did:
Isn't that so cool?? I'm not sure if you understand him as well as I do, and I kept trying to push his hands out of the way so you could see his face, but I guess the angle of the camera was a bit off.
