Thankful

I'm so thankful for the wonderful family we have! Between San Diego and upstate New York, we've been busy traveling as simply as possible but bringing anything that may make a toddler occupied, making memories, giving hugs and kisses. Kent talks about his family members all the time now, and it's lovely to know it's really sticking with him.

We had a fantastic visit in San Diego and here are many highlights: scaring pigeons, eating smoothies, holding hands in the backseat of the car, parks, beach playgrounds, the children's museum, tonton Peter's beard, baths with Papy, tasting roasted pumpkin seeds, the pier, petting a cat with Nana, trick or treating, Kent busting his lip, visiting with Panda, and of course, playing piano with Nana!!

William can levitate!

Kent's first costume: Calvin and Hobbes, which disintegrated after this library Halloween event:

Kent read this book to himself while everyone else did the hard work of carving pumpkins. Smart kid.

This blurry picture sums up the chaos of trick or treating with toddlers:

Our next family visit was with Matt's side of the family over Thanksgiving.... about 50 degrees colder... but that didn't stop us from visiting the cows and riding in tractors and loaders.
Saying hello to the new calf.
 Fearless feeding duties.
Rockin' out with Sting during the Thanksgiving parade.
Learning how to unwrap gifts and saying thank you to the right people ;)

Playing "hide" and seek with Grandpa.
He got a loader truck for this birthday, then he got to see A REAL ONE!!!
To this day, Kent says "loader with Grandpa!"
 And "tractor with Henry!"

... more specifically a manure spreader kind of tractor!
The farm boys and men:
What a great family we are a part of. We love and miss you all.

  2. Great pictures! Seeing them helped me relive it all. Why does it already seem like ten years ago?? Fun to see him with the other side of the family. Hugs from Nana
