See me read!

Kent is now 19.5 months. He's fitting into some of our 2T clothes that were "for later". He said goodbye to his pacifier for sleeping. He sort of, kind of tolerates a bristle toothbrush now: he stands at the sink to "wash" his hands after every meal (aka play with water) and we brush while he's occupied. It was tough to get him to accept the brush, and the water play has been helpful.

The biggest thing that has impressed us is his reading skills! Look what he's been doing:
(Also - not to brag, but I must say that my gym membership is paying off. Just look at my arms!)

Yes, he's got that book memorized, easy peasy, but what really surprised us is that he predicted the text to a new book "oh my oh my oh dinosaurs" after hearing it read just a few times!!! No video of that one yet, but he loves it.

Other times, we find him doing this:
A long video, but you just can't hit the stop button when he's being this cute. Also, don't you love how he wanted me to sit down next to him??

Today, he looked at me and said "caca," which usually means that he's already gone in his diaper and that I've missed it. So I checked, nothing, and swiftly brought him to his potty seat and he went!!!! Um, potty training might be coming sooner than I was expecting....
